Sharon’s Abseil off the Orbit!!

My beautiful niece was born on 7th November 2012 a normal, happy baby, and perfect. 2 weeks later the midwife was worried about Macy's colour and my sister was sent to hospital where it was discovered that she had a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Macy was rushed to The Royal Brompton. At just 3 weeks old Macy had open heart surgery. Macy fought every day for 3 weeks but on Thursday 20th December Macy died in her Daddy's arms.

At the time of Macy's death I was morbidly obese, how dare I walk around with a perfectly good heart which I was not looking after when Macy fought everyday to stay alive with her poorly one. I have now lost 6 stone, am nearly at my goal weight and am the fittest I have ever been.

I am raising money for the Royal Brompton through our charity Team Macy. I am terrified of heights but I wanted to do something different for Macy, something I would not have had the courage to do when Macy was here and would probably not have been able to due to my weight.

So I am Abseiling off of the Arcelor Mittal Orbit on the 16th of July with my sister, Helen (Macy's mum),  please join as on the day to give  moral support

(or to laugh at me when I can't let go!)  Or sponsor us at the following link.
